Camping in Friendship, wine tasting in Madison

This past week was pretty busy.  Tuesday I watched Emerson & Adayla, this time with Matt's help!  We took them on a walk, Emerson really liked the playground.  He was so excited he was running around it in circles laughing.  I really like my weekly time with the kids. =)  Wednesday we met most of the family at Red Robin to celebrate Ang's birthday.  Emerson knows all of us by name (I was impressed!).  Nice time with the fam.  How is my baby sister 17???

Wednesday night we moved the foosball & air hockey tables out of the basement.  The foosball table was heavy but not too bad.  The air hockey table was a giant pain in the butt.  I was about ready to just chop it into a billion pieces and not worry about selling it.  If we weren't the ones to move it down there I wouldn't have believed it was possible to get it out (it barely was).  Put it back together in the garage.  Thursday night we got rid of both of them.  Yay!!  So glad they are out of the basement!  Cleaning/reorganizing the basement is a continuing project for us.  Making slow progress.

Friday we left for Friendship, Indiana to camp with some of Matt's friends.  Left here about 6.  Drive to Friendship should have been about 3.5 hours.  After 3 bathroom breaks, and detours to Ohio and Kentucky (yes, we left the state TWICE to go somewhere else in the same state), we made it to camp 5 hours later.  It was an adventure.

Our campsite
First winery - Madison Vineyards
Second winery (in Madison) - Lanthier
Last stop (also in Madison), Thomas Family Winery
Ohio River in Madison
Saturday we went to the flea market and then did some wine tasting around Madison.  That was a lot of fun.  Madison has a really neat historical area, walking around there was fun.  Really enjoyed that part of the trip.  We ended up buying a lot of wine.  Just Matt & I got 8 bottles.  All together the 6 of us got at least 20.  Fun times. =)  Went to church in Madison and back to camp for the night.  Made hobo dinners (best camping food) and drank some wine out of camouflaged Busch beer cans (yep, keeping it classy).  Trekked across the river again (not the best idea after 6 bottles of wine) and then back.  It was a fun night. =)

This morning we packed up camp and left for home about 10:10, home about 2.  It was a fun trip and I'm glad we went. =)

Got most things unpacked and put away.  Still have a few things drying/charging.  I went to my parents' to have cake & ice cream with some of the fam for E's birthday (today).  Now back here.  We both have the day off tomorrow.  Yay!  Last full (ish) week of work before Miami!!
