November is Indiana adoption month

November is Indiana adoption month so I feel like I should have something to say about that.  It's also Thanksgiving tomorrow (duh).  I feel like I should have something to say about that.  But I talked a lot about adoption just last week (Praying for the next one) and my thankful list is pretty ordinary.  Family, health, life, house, food, husband's job, etc.  All that.

Obviously adoption is a big part of our lives. Luke wouldn't be with us if it wasn't.  If laying down your life for someone is the biggest gesture of love than giving up your child to a loving family must be number two.  I don't think anyone other than those who have done it can really understand how that feels, I just know what it's like on our end.

Extreme, never ending gratitude.

Fitting that adoption month is also the month of Thanksgiving, when we most focus on sharing what we are thankful for.  We are so thankful.  We were lucky that we did meet Luke's birth mother and got to thank her again and again and again.  It still doesn't feel like enough.  Never will.

<3 Very well written! I know I can't know what either "side" of adoption really feels like, but it seems like it'd be a crazy mix of emotions. Thinking about you all!

Appreciated! I'm sure pregnancy is too. Don't know what any side of that is like. =)
