Respect each others families. You may have been raised similarly (big families, same values) but there are still plenty of differences. It might take awhile to get used to. It's somewhat true, when you marry someone you marry their family. But you love your spouse and they (likely) love their family. (Trust me, there are (a few) downsides to living in the same city as (most of) your large families. Holiday scheduling problems mainly...)
