Things I Like - February

My monthly round-up of 5 things I'm liking, with a few affiliate links sprinkled in.  Thanks for helping support the blog! =)  See more here!

1) Backstreet Boys DNA
OBVIOUSLY this was going to be on the list.  I talked about it back here but now I've had it for a month (thanks mostly to the library Freegal, NOT my "came with the price of a concert ticket" copy) and it's been in high rotation.  So much that I have my 5 year old declaring that the Backstreet Boys are his favorite.  It's not my favorite of their CDs (that would be this one) but I do largely enjoy it.  It's been 5+ years since their last new CD so having new music feels like a treat.  My favorite tracks are the ones that came out as singles over the last year but I really do enjoy them all.

2) 10 Things to Tell You podcast
I listen to a decent number of podcast regularly (although maybe not all the ones I've recommended on this blog in the past anymore).  Especially when working out, doing housework, and driving solo (which doesn't happen often).  This is a new podcast and I've largely enjoyed it.  I "know" the host from a show she used to be on (Sorta Awesome) and what I like about this show is how she brings up conversational topic to have with real people in your life.  For instance, the first episode was about finding time to read, something I could (and maybe have) talked about with others constantly.  I also really enjoyed episode 3, Where Do You Live?  Not just to hear about her life in L.A. but it did get me thinking about what I like about where we live.  The episodes are shorter, around 30 minutes, which is about perfect podcast length and it's really gotten me thinking about things in my own life.

3) Dark Chocolate Kit-Kats
I've been on a major whole house purge the last couple weeks (I think just my closet left to go!) and so when Matt was asking what I wanted for Valentine's Day (because we always ask for ideas) I didn't want anything taking up more space in the house.  So chocolate and flowers it was.  He got me a variety of dark chocolate including these which I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I do!  I don't want to admit how many I eat most days and how fast the bag is disappearing.  A+

4) Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream
Working on my skin care routine was something I wanted to do in 2018 but then waited until December.  I had been using the same moisturizer since college and finally upgraded to this one.  It smells beautiful (I think, I've had a stuffed up nose for 4 months) and I think it's working well.  I've been using the same jar for over 2 months and I'm not even half way through so that makes me feel better about the higher price than what I used to pay.  Plus, the pink jar is pretty but I promise, that's not the only reason I like it.

5) Magnetic Picture Frames
We have had a variety of extended family pictures hanging up on the side of our fridge for years but I was getting annoyed with the cluttered look of all the magnets to hold them there as well as how often they were slipping.  Enter these magnetic frames and everything looks SO MUCH cleaner now.  Nothing is falling down and I got rid of a lot of random magnets.  Definitely worth the (small) expense.

What have YOU been liking lately?
