Things I Like - September 2023

I always enjoy hearing what works for other people and I like sharing things I like, it's part of the reason I have a blog.  I've been doing these monthly posts for 10 years and they also provide a nice little snapshot in my life at a moment in time! See more here!  Some affiliate links may be included!

1) Crocheted ghost
We've made it to the Farmers Market just once all year (although I hope to correct that one SPORTS have settled down) but the one time we did go I made maybe my favorite Farmers Market purchase ever with this little crocheted ghost.  Matt LOVES Halloween the most of all the holidays (also an incorrect opinion) and is on board with me spending any money I want on Halloween decorations (note: this isn't much because I dislike many aspects of Halloween).  BUT...we both agreed instantly on this ghost.  I'm not sure that booth even had an Instagram page but a quick search on Etsy gave me many options.  Now do I want another little crocheted ghost? Maybe.  Although I don't have anywhere to put it so I will restrain myself.

2) Ghost Pillow
Let's just do both ghost items back to back!  Last year Target sold a ghost pillow that I waited too long to buy (which meant sometime in late August) and it never came back in stock.  I realized this about the same time this year and on August 22nd I searched Etsy, found a ghost pillow, and ordered it that night.  It is adorable and my 5 year old especially finds it super cozy.  I have no reason for wanting one of these except that it's cute.  (And, yes, I broke my own rules by having this out before October 1st but that's just because it never got put away after it arrived.  Next year it won't be out until October.)

3) Mini fabric pumpkins
I did not realize these sold out already so I am glad I did buy them last week.  I slowly got out fall decorations over the course of September and replaced some plastic ones I had with these fabric ones from Target.  They are super cute and just seem less temporary not being plastic.  I am Buy-Nothing Grouping those plastic ones today!

4) Crocheted Pumpkin
At the same Farmers Market where we got the ghost (since it's the only time we've been), we also bought this crocheted pumpkin, this one I know is from Lazy Bird Fiber Crafts.  I rearranged some of our fall decor this year and this was a perfect addition (with my ghost and those other pumpkins) to the display.  It's all been out nearly a month and I am still delighted with it on a daily basis.  Again, Etsy would have options if you aren't local to go to my Farmers Market!

5) Dark Chocolate Macadamia Nuts
Target stopped selling my favorite Mauna Loa Dark Chocolate Macadamia Nuts a few years ago and despite multiple searches, I could never find them at a reasonable price anywhere else (I don't need to pay $1/nut for them).  I was placing a Meijer order this summer for my favorite Blueberry Morning cereal (which I have ALSO had trouble finding over the year) when, on a whim, I searched for Dark Chocolate Macadamia Nuts and they had some!  They are a bit pricey for the number you get but still much cheaper than I've found the Mauna Loa ones anywhere for years.  FANTASTIC and a perfect little bit of sweet and nut when I need a quick pick me up.

Those are a very fall heavy list of things I've been liking lately.  How about you??
