Mixed Drink Monday - Peach Lemonade

Lemonade is just so perfectly summery, isn't it?  Almost all the lemonade I have in a year is consumed June-August (which isn't necessarily saying much).  It's usually easy to make (depending on your method - powder, concentrate, or actual lemons) and generally a crowd-pleaser.  Who doesn't love a glass of lemonade on a hot day?

But maybe sometimes you'd like to change up the routine a bit and that's where this Peach Lemonade comes in.  It's almost as easy as opening a can of frozen concentrate and probably easier than squeezing a whole bunch of lemons (can't say for sure since I've never tried to juice a whole bunch of lemons).  The hardest part might be cleaning out the blender.  Or telling your kid no, they can't have some of the batch with booze in it.  (He didn't seem to get that even though my glass looked just like the one he had just finished...he couldn't have any of mine.  For obvious, to me, "don't give alcohol to a 4 year-old" reasons.)

I didn't try Luke's virgin version (although seeing as he kept requesting more I'd say he liked it a lot) but mine with some added booze was pretty good and perfect for consuming while reading a summery book or going on a pontoon cruise around the lake (because, if it's summer and we're drinking, we're probably at the lake).

This was refreshing, easy, delicious, and tasted perfect for summer.  What more could you want?

Peach Lemonade
yield: about 4 servings
Ingredients
-1 12-oz can of lemonade concentrate
-3 fresh peaches (you could probably sub frozen with little problem)
-8 ounces of water
-ice (start with about a cup and add more to taste)
-optional a shot (or two) of peach schnapps and/or triple sec

Directions
Pit the peaches and roughly slice.  Put everything in the blender and blend until mostly smooth, some chunks are fine!  Enjoy!
