Ingredients
4 TB chili powder
3 TB + 1 tsp paprika
3 TB ground cumin
1 TB + 2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Mix everything up:
And then you have taco seasoning!
Use 2 TB in place of 1 store-bought packet. If you are just making plain tacos (as in, browning ground beef) you may need to add some water depending on the fat content in your meat. We rarely have just tacos, mostly using this in various taco-ish crockpot meals (or tonight I used some in some chicken/cream cheese taquitos which were delish).
This is one of the easiest things you can make yourself. Takes less than 5 minutes to mix up. I keep the recipe taped to the inside of the spice cupboard so I can easily make more when needed.
