1) To All the Boys I've Loved Before movie
Have you watched this? Have you seen it mentioned all over the internet? I loved the book trilogy (it got a whole post here!) so OF COURSE I was going to watch the movie, especially since it is on Netflix. The books were just delightful. The movie was different, because they always are, but mostly true to the books and also delightful. Now I'm seriously debating if I should read the whole series again (I probably will). It's teen rom-com but the kind of teen you mostly wouldn't mind having and I love the relationships Lara Jean has with her sisters and Dad. Read the books, watch the movie, in either order. They are just really fun.
2) Making It
Might as well keep up the watching theme. Matt and I started DVR-ing this and it's been great at making me feel woefully inadequate at all crafting/arts things but it's ok. Usually all we watch in the summer is American Ninja Warrior (which, as we point out every week, we've been watching forever, as long as it's been on NBC I think) but this is has been a really nice addition to our occasional evening tv watching, between chasing a kid back to bed or calming the one who can't get out of his bed (evenings are not our best times, as a family). It's a crafting show that makes me a little tense each week with the time constraints but it's also inspiring, even if I'll never make anything like what the makers do on the show. So, basically, a tv version of Pinterest.
3) L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Definer
This is my new favorite eyebrow pencil which is still a weird thing to say because a few years ago I would have rolled my eyes at the idea of it. It makes filling in sparse spots so easy and has a brush on the other end. I never expected to be writing about brushing my eyebrows on the internet. Life is weird. I buy mine at Target because that's where I buy everything. These have been a winner.
4) ModCloth Flamingo Tote
I didn't need another purse but when I saw this flamingo one...it was added to my birthday list pretty quick. My husband even suffered through figuring out how to order from there and bought it for me. I don't get to use a purse much because we take a diaper bag almost every where. And when I do use a purse it's usually a crossbody because I need my hands free. BUT when I do get to go somewhere without kids, this has been a fantastic summer option. It might only get to go to work with me right now but I still find it super cute and fun to use. I can always justify a flamingo summery tote.
5) Henry's Hard Soda - grape
My all time favorite bottled drink is Smirnoff Ice in grape. I know, that's what you drink when you are young but they are so stinking good; they taste like kool-aid. These seem like a slightly more sophisticated version. Barely, slightly more. I love grape soda but rarely drink it because sugar and just rarely drinking pop. BUT somehow I can justify more hard soda? And by more I mean I've drank 2/3 of this 6 pack I got in the spring. It's delicious and so much easier than mixing up a drink (which is why I haven't drunk many, I'm making mixed drinks most of the summer). But I do enjoy every one I've had.
What have YOU been liking lately?
